Residential demand in Mumbai increases 15.2 percent

by Samiksha Housing demand (searches) in Mumbai grew 15.2% while supply (listings) grew 3.8% QoQ, revealed Magicbricks PropIndex Report Q1’ 2022. The report further observed that in Mumbai, smaller-sized 1 and 2 BHK apartments dominated the homebuyers’ preference and cumulatively accounted for 69% of the demand and 73% of the supply, during the period. The demand and supply for 2 BHK configurations accounted for 40% and 42%, respectively. Navi Mumbai exhibited a similar trend with demand for 2 BHKs accounting for 48% of the total demand and 46% of the total supply in Q1 2022. In Thane, smaller configuration homes continued to dominate the housing market with 1 and 2BHK units comprising 78% of the total demand and supply, and 2 BHK constituting a demand share of 43%. The report further identifies Malad and Kandivali as the residential hotspots in Mumbai during the quarter. India’s Jehan Daruvala eyes third straight podium at historic Imola

Boris Johnson opens new factory as JCB goes for growth

by Samiksha Mumbai, India, April, 2022  – Prie Minister Boris today officially opened JCB’s newest factory in India as the company strengthens is global manufacturing presence. With 11 factories in the UK employing more than 7,500 people, JCB first began manufacturing in India in 1979 and is now the country’s leading producer of construction equipment. Today Mr Johnson visited JCB’s latest factory in India – a £100 million investment plant in Gujarat which will fabricate parts for global production lines. The new factory is located in Vadodara near the port city of Surat on the West Coast of India. Joining the Prime Minister today at the opening was JCB Chairman Lord Bamford, who led JCB’s expansion in India in the late 1970s, including the opening of its first factory in Ballabgarh, near Delhi. The award, presented by Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister, Commerce & Industry, Textiles, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution, was received on behalf of GAIL by Shri R K Jain, Director (Finance) and Shri Deepak Gupta,   Director (Projects) yesterday. GAIL (as organization) got second position in the 17 th   National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2019 in Manufacturing - Public Sector - Mega whereas Jamnagar Loni Pipeline (JLPL) got first position in Service Sector -Transportation and Logistics.
