UBM India’s Child, Baby and Maternity Expo India opens it’s 4th edition


An industry congregation of over 100 exhibitors & 300 Indian and global brands

Mumbai, 20th April 2016: CBME India 2016, the three day (20th – 22nd April 2016) trade show hosted by UBM India, commenced  at Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Smt. Poonam Mahajan, Member of Parliament; Guest of Honour Smt. Snehal Ambekar, Mayor of Mumbai; Special Guest Dr. Nandita Palshetkar, President, Mumbai Obstetrics & Gynecological Society and Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India amidst an august industry gathering. The show brought together global suppliers and manufacturers of child, baby and maternity products and services under one roof.

Chief Guest Smt. Poonam Mahajan highlighted that events like CBME India help in creating awareness which is the need of the hour. She also emphasized that she would take this initiative further with the Government as companies exhibited products which were in line with the ‘Make in India’ campaign, as stated on the sidelines of CBME India 2016.


CBME India 2016 in its fourth year, is India’s one of a kind B2B exhibition with over 100 exhibitors and 300 Indian and global brands. The expo intends to provide an unrivalled business opportunity to Indian and global manufacturers and providers of child, baby and maternity products and services, providing access to thousands of retailers, wholesalers, distributors, investor, importers, franchisee market and educational institutions. This year’s edition includes the launch of Cool Kids Fashion India, a first of its kind event which highlights premium kids fashion from both well-known & emerging designers, brands and manufacturers. A signature affair to position India on the map of the kids fashion industry, Cool Kids Fashion India includes a complete overview of children’s clothing and accessories and showcases various features such as Premium Exhibition, A Fashion Design contest for kids, trend forum launch pad, Kids fashion gallery and workshops on merchandising and styling.  The expo also presents an Innovative Product Corner (IPC) wherein CBME India will recognise design excellence and innovation from the participating exhibitors at IPC with an Innovative Product Award.


Like every year, the expo has a series of panel discussions and knowledge sessions with speakers from renowned retail and e-commerce companies such as J L Morison (India) Ltd., Wazir Advisor; Being Human, Tommy Hilfiger, Supplified.com; Apples eyes; Deal jeans; The Children’s Palace, Pepe, SafetyKart.com, Musafir.com and YoStartups.com amongst others.
