Wockhardt Hospital launches its Outreach OPD Services at Borivali

Mumbai: Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road, a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital, launched its Super Specialty OPD by expanding its healthcare facilities to Borivali. The OPD is one of its kind initiative by the hospital to aid high-end clinical diagnosis and consultation by skilled doctors and help patients to lead a healthy life. The facility was inaugurated by Shri Gopal Shetty, Member of Parliament and Guests of Honor present were Jain Guru Maharaj-Shri. Bhaskarmuni Maharaj, Deputy Commissioner Of Police-Shri Ajaykumar Bansal, Social Activist-Shri Mathew Varghese.
Cardiac, respiratory, gynaecological, neurological, orthopaedic, liver and kidney problems are rampant in people of all age groups. Many cases go unreported as people tend to suffer in silence. Not treating any ailment, disease, or condition at the right time can increase mortality or morbidity rates. Hence, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road has come forward by taking a huge step in launching the outreach OPD services.
Dr Pankaj Damija, Centre Head, Wockhardt Hospitals Mira Road said, “We strive to spread awareness regarding early diagnosis and prevention of the diseases. Even though basic screening facilities are available for people in their areas, there is a need for cutting-edge technology and skilled expertise. Usually, people tend to travel to other parts of the city to receive prompt medical attention. So, we intend to help such people get the required services in their locality. Those who are in need can opt for services without delaying the treatment and also cut down the travel time. The OPD offers consultation to manage problems related to orthopedics, gynaecology, cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, endocrinology, paediatrics, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology. Primary consultation and investigation will be done in this OPD. Also, the hospital is planning to provide an on-call ambulance facility in the Borivali region to handle emergencies.
