Helicopters, Chases and Action! Welcome To The Jungle Marks Akshay Kumar's Homecoming to Classic Action-Comedy Territory

Akshay Kumar and comedy go hand in hand - pepper it with a few helicopter instances, chases and action sequences - and we get a vintage Khiladi back on the screens. That’s exactly what the actor serves with his upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle. The trailer of this laughter riot was unveiled on June 11, and it gathers all the elements of a classic Akshay Kumar film - with the right mix of action, humour that hits home, and a camaraderie that strikes nostalgia.

There’s something uniquely cinematic about the way Akshay Kumar fits in a frame featuring a mix of action with explosions helicopters, fights and comedy that shows him with a humorous body language, serving laugh-out-loud moments in the most serious of situations and most importantly, delivering punchlines that land. Over the decades, the actor has created a cinematic chain so well that it has become a niche for him. Everytime he featured on the screen with his classic action elements - be it in Sooryavanshi, Singham Again, Khiladi 420 and others, it became synonymous with the name - Akshay Kumar.

And somewhere in between, the audience was hungry to see him get back to his main element the vintage way. Now that the trailer of Welcome To The Jungle is out, it promises just that. The rollicking trailer brings back classic Akshay Kumar elements - action, comedy and an energy that can just be exuded by him without feeling over the top or extra. It is full of life as one would expect from a film carrying the Welcome name and starring Akshay Kumar. The film seems to be breathing life into old Bollywood entertainers with quick-fire humour, familiar faces and nostalgia.

Beyond a movie, Welcome To The Jungle marks Akshay Kumar’s homecoming to the classic action-comedy territory - and the audience is seated big time!
